Professional Driver Training
GPRC Continuing Education is the #1 driving school in the region. We offer professional driver training programs for Class 1, Class 3 and Class 6 (motorcycle) Alberta licensing and additional training for existing Class 1 drivers.
Class 1 Driver Training
Mandatory training for new Class 1 commercial drivers results in highly skilled and safer drivers working in the trucking industry.
Effective March 1, 2019, drivers seeking a Class 1 (tractor-trailer) licence are required to complete Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) to apply for their commercial driver’s licence.
- Training includes a government-mandated number of training hours for in-class, in-yard and in-vehicle modules.
- Standardized curriculums are taught at all licensed Alberta driver training schools.
- Knowledge and road tests for Class 1 drivers are comprised of the new MELT curriculums.

Class 3 Driver Training
GPRC Continuing Education offers a variety of training options for individuals who want to obtain their Class 3 licence. Our Gold and Silver packages include additional professional driving courses as well as in-truck training.

Class 6 Ready To Ride Motorcycle Training
Through the GPRC Ready to Ride Motorcycle Training program, you will learn the latest in motorcycle defensive driving theory and riding skills. You will be prepared well beyond the requirements for the Class 6 Motorcycle Road Test.
