Asset Planning and Management Certificate
Asset Planning and Management - Professional Development Certificate
GPRC Continuing Education is proud to offer the Asset Planning and Management professional development certificate in partnership with Keyano College. This program progresses through all stages of asset management, from reliability strategies to maintenance supervisor and coordination, and can help you advance your career in the oil industry. If you’re a skilled trades-person, the methods and tools taught will help you make the most of resource productivity and craft utilization.
The program covers the basic aspects of:
- Planning
- Scheduling
- Supply Chains
- Operations
Learning and Career Growth
These courses will help you:
- Learn the job approval process and how to manage equipment and assets
- Understand planning processes and maintenance
- Manage daily backlogs and prioritize activities economically
- Identify and isolate problems
- Understand supply chain and optimize inventory
- Identify and control shutdown risks, and how to communicate this to your team
- Practice your learnings in a real-world plant maintenance project
Duration and Delivery
This certificate consists of 7 courses, and each course is 14 hours in length, for a total of 98 instructional hours. Courses are offered online and are self-paced; however, an instructor is assigned to each course to answer questions and to support your learning. Fees
Course fees are $495 per course, and the total cost to complete the full certificate is $3,465 based on the current course fees. Fees are listed with individual courses and do not include supplies unless otherwise indicated. Fees are subject to change.
Required Textbook: Maintenance Planning and Scheduling by Doc Palmer, 4th edition. An eTextbook can be purchased from eBooks.com, or a hard copy can be purchased through Amazon.ca.
Getting Started
There are no admission requirements for this program. While not required, it is recommended that courses be taken in order. However, you must successfully complete courses APM01 – APM06 before taking the Asset Project (APM07) course.
Program Requirements
Courses may be taken individually, or complete all seven required courses to obtain an Asset and Planning Management professional development certificate. Each course includes assignments, quizzes, short-answer posts, and a final exam. An overall course score of at least 60% is required for successful completion of each course.
