Babysitter Training (BAB01)
Using the Babysitter Training Program developed by the Canada Safety Council, students will learn how to care for infants through school-age children, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Topics covered will also include becoming a successful babysitter, the behaviour and misbehaviour of children, caring for a sick or injured child, and prevention and basic first aid. Participants will receive a Canada Safety Council Babysitter Training Course manual and certificate with a passing grade of 75 percent on the final examination. Ages 11 and up
Please note: 11-year-olds are permitted to register for this course but are not considered qualified to babysit in Canada until they are 12 years of age. Please bring a doll or stuffed toy for practice!
